SARC Activists have been busy over the last few weeks demonstrating against the Great British Circus
The "Great" British Circus were at the West Sussex Showground, Dial Post, A24 Worthing Road, RH13 8NR from 8th - 20th June. This circus uses Lions, Tigers, Cammels, Llamas and dozens of other animals forcing them to do tricks and locking them up in tiny cages simply for sick peoples enjoyment.
Activists from across Sussex and Hampshire protested outside every show of their two weeks run. We were happy to see their turnout was terrible with some shows only getting as few as 8 people. On Saturday the 12th, activists were shocked when they saw a Shetland Pony escape running around the showground in circles chased desperately by it's captors who eventually managed to recapture the poor creature.
Let's hope it's the last year this cruel circus exists!
