FOIE GRAS VICTORY IN BRIGHTON! Articles / Foie Gras Posted by SARC on Dec 06, 2009 - 09:58 PM 06.12.09 Following a series of Foie Gras demos at The Dorset, Brighton, in recent weeks. The restaurant manager has decided to make the ethical decision and remove Foie Gras from his menu! Many members of the public were shocked and angered that Brighton pub 'TheDorset' was serving foie gras on its Christmas menu. Customers of the pub,as well as some staff, were glad that compassionate individuals were bringing the horror of foie gras production into the public eye and condemned the management of The Dorset for serving it. Following several successful protests at The Restaurant; The manager of The Dorset has since contacted SARC stating: 'Please know that the dorset will no longer serve foie gras during this xmas and we will not put it on our menu in the future, whilst I am still in charge' SARC are pleased that their efforts have paid off and that is another restaurant that we can add to our list of thse who have removed this vile delicacy from their menu's. SARC would like to thank them, on behalf of the ducks and geese that have suffered, for making the right decision.
